HOLSTEIN, Chief Justice.
Defendant Marlon Redmond was convicted of second degree murder, § 565.021, 1 and armed criminal action, § 571.015, for which he was sentenced to concurrent terms of thirty years and three years, respectively. On appeal, Redmond’s principal contention was that the trial court erred in refusing to instruct the jury on voluntary and involuntary manslaughter. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, affirmed, with one judge dissenting.
