This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of defendant. The plaintiff was a structural iron worker, and at the time of his injury was engaged in connecting an iron beam to the top ends of two upright iron beams, or columns, in the construction of a building, spoken of as the Irene Building, in the city of St. Louis.
