This suit involves a claim for cargo damage suffered during the voyage of the CSAV ROMERAL 1 from New Orleans, Louisiana to Valparaiso, Chile. Before the court are cross-motions for partial summary judgment filed by plaintiff Great American Insurance Companies (Great American), 2 and defendant Compama Sud Americana De Vapores d/b/a Chilean Line (Chilean Lines), the charterer of the CSAV ROMERAL.
