Raymond C. Asbury, Jr. appeals a jury verdict in the Circuit Court of Ohio County finding him guilty of unlawful assault. On appeal, Mr. Asbury maintains that reversal of his conviction is required by the following assignments of errors: (1) the circuit court erred in refusing to instruct the jury on the law of self-defense; (2) the circuit court erred in allowing presentation of and argument about Mrs. Asbury’s grant of immunity; (3) the State’s closing argument resulted in manifest injustice or clear prejudice to the accused; and (4) the State improperly elicited testimony known to be false…
