DUNKLIN, Chief Justice.

Charles A. Martin was born January 20, 1895, at Fairburg, Ill. Martha Harriett Martin, obtained custody of him from an orphanage in Chicago, Ill., when he was seven years old, and took him to live with her in her home in Sullivan county, Ind., where he was kept until the summer of 1917, when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served overseas frorq February 8, 1918, to June 8, 1918, on which latter date he was killed in action.
