JIM WORTHEN, Justice.

National Health Insurance Company (“NHIC”) brings this petition for writ of mandamus complaining of an order appointing an arbitrator. We conditionally grant the writ.

Background

NHIC issued a health insurance policy (“the policy”) to Frieda Beezley (“Beez-ley”). Beezley submitted certain claims to NHIC for medical expenses, which were denied, and Beezley filed suit. The policy contains an arbitration provision, which provides, in part, as follows:
