By statute, a person may not discharge or discriminate against an employee for filing a workers’ compensation claim in good faith or hiring legal representation in such a claim. Tex.Laboií Code § 451.001. Remedies for such retaliation include reasonable damages resulting to the employee, reinstatement to the former position of employment, and in-junctive relief.
