Defendant Gail Williams appeals from a judgment awarding compensatory and punitive damages to plaintiffs Marcia Haynes and Melanie Dean on their claims of sexual harassment and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. Although several substantive, procedural, and evidentiary issues are raised, we find it necessary to address only one: Under the controlling precedent of this circuit, can an individual supervisor be held personally liable under Title VII?
