Texola Drilling Company, Inc., brought this action to recover from Oklahoma Natural Gas Company 1 an amount alleged to be due from the production of a natural gas well owned jointly by the parties. In 1940, Texsun Drilling Company, an Oklahoma corporation, and Oklahoma Natural were the owners of certain oil and gas leases covering eighty acres of land in the Chiekasha Gas Field, described as the N%SW^4 of Section 23, Township 5 North, Range 8 West, Grady County, Oklahoma.
