This proceeding originates in a controversy over the title to thirty-two lots, forming parts of eight blocks, in Argentine Heights, an addition to the city of Argentine, in Wyandotte county. The northwest quarter of section 29, in township 11, of range 25 (in which quarter-section such lots are located) , was patented by the United States on December 28, 1859, to Susan Whitefeather, as a member of the Shawnee Indian tribe, under the provisions of the treaty of May 10, 1854.
