— George Minton suffered severe head and bodily injuries when a condensate collector exploded at the bakery where he worked. Minton sued his current employer Interstate Brands (Interstate), Continental Baking Company (Continental), the company that installed the equipment that allegedly injured him and later merged with Interstate, and the parent corporation Ralston Purina Company (Ralston) for tort damages.
