These are cross-appeals from an order made at Special Term on notice permitting the applicant, Charles S. Whitman, pursuant to section 374 of the Election Law, to have an examination of all of the ballots, used, furnished or voted at the general election held November 5, 1918, within the counties of New York and Bronx, upon which the name of said Charles S. Whitman appeared as a candidate for Governor, and directing that, in addition to the ballots, there be produced for examination simultaneously therewith all stubs, envelopes and sealed packages of unused official ballots.
