A Richmond County jury found Roger Thompson guilty of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Thompson appeals from his judgment of conviction and sentence, contending (i) that the evidence was insufficient to support the guilty verdict on the charge of aggravated assault, (ii) that the trial court erred by allowing testimony that Thompson’s nickname was “Shotgun,” and (iii) that the trial court erred by failing to instruct the jury on reckless conduct as a lesser included offense of…
