This case comes to us in an unusual appellate posture. It seems that both parties to the cause desire the same result — the annulment of their marriage. 1 The law does not permit their wish to be granted.
On 18 July 1973, RALPH A. PICARELLA, JR., a minor, by his mother and next friend, Claire Piearella, filed a bill of complaint in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County against SANDRA RHEY PICARELLA, formerly Sandra Rhey Graham, praying that the marriage entered into by them “be annulled and declared void and of no legal force and effect,” that Sandra be restored to her maiden name, and that…
