MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
NEESE, District Judge.
These are diversity actions for personal injuries and property damage, 28 U.S. C. § 1332(a) (1), involving common questions of law and fact which were consolidated for purposes of trial, Rule 42(a), Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Each of the plaintiffs was awarded judgment against the defendants for $18,000 in compensatory, and $5,000 in punitive, damages. The defendants interposed a timely motion for a new trial, Rules 59 (a), (b), Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, claiming that the jury verdicts are contrary to the weight of the evidence,…
