Plaintiff commenced this action, seeking a divorce from his wife and a decree awarding to him the community property and the exclusive care, custody, and control of their minor children. By cross-complaint, defendant prayed for a judgment and decree awarding her a divorce, the custody of the children, and -a division of the community property.

A trial upon the merits resulted in the entry of an interlocutory order, granting a divorce to plaintiff and giving him the care of the children subject to the right of defendant to visit the children at all reasonable times and to have them with her…
