The circuit court of De Kalb County dismissed as untimely Jahmal Perkins’ postconviction petition. The appellate court vacated the dismissal of the petition and remanded for further proceedings, holding that postconviction counsel failed to comply with Supreme Court Rule 651(c). 367 Ill.
