McLaughlin had worked for appellant for twenty-two years and had been its construction foreman for fourteen years prior to this accident. He had charge of all the work of stringing wires in the territory around the city of Chicago within a radius of 100 miles. He says: “I had charge of the men in the construction department.” Upon the day in question he was in charge of the four men who went with him to Fort Sheridan to string a wire from the interior of the Fort to appellant’s line which ran north and south in and along Waukegan avenue.
