Defendant appeals his conviction for supplying contraband. ORS 162.185. He assigns error to the denial of his motion for judgment of acquittal, arguing that there was no evidence that the use of the alleged contraband posed a danger to the safety or security of the jail or any person therein.1 In determining whether the trial court erred in denying a motion for judgment of acquittal, we view the evidence in the light most favorable to the state to determine whether any rational trier of fact could have found the essential elements of the offense beyond a reasonable doubt.
