This is an appeal from a judgment of the district court *708for Knox county, Nebraska. The nature of the suit is an action on a promissory note brought in the district court for Knox county by the plaintiff against the various defendants. The plaintiff sought by his petition to recover from the defendants a judgment on a certain promissory note signed by the defendants, dated February 1, 1932, for a principal sum of $5,562.52, upon which he claimed that there was due the sum of $6,427.52.
