Appellants prosecuted in the district court an action against the appellees, which resulted in a trial and judg-*659meat for the defendants. From the judgment appellants desired to prosecute appeal or error to this court, and paid in advance to the official stenographic reporter of the court the compensation to which he was entitled by law for making a transcript of the oral evidence to be embodied in a hill of exceptions.
