The ease before us involves the liability of a landlord for damages for personal injuries caused by defective steps. There was a verdict in favor of the injured tenant from which an appeal was prayed and granted to the Court of Appeals. The judgment of the trial court was affirmed, and we granted certiorari to review the question of the legal duty devolving upon the landlord.
