¶1 At issue is whether services by an adult child to a parent are properly considered in determining whether that parent is “dependent ... for support” for purposes of that parent qualifying as a beneficiary under the wrongful death statute. Because the provision of services in this case is not financial dependence under the statute and case law, we reverse and remand.

¶2 Eighteen-year-old Kristen Armantrout died from a pulmonary embolism that occurred two weeks after minor ankle surgery. At the time of her death, she was a single adult with no children.
