Appellee undertook to cross appellant’s railroad track at the principal street crossing in Bigelow, Arkansas, a town of a thousand or fifteen hundred inhabitants. It was alleged in the complaint that appellant had failed to make the crossing safe for pedestrians. There ^was proof to the effect that appellee’s fall and injury were attributable to the condition of the track at the point where she crossed. The evidence shows that there was a safe crossing in the middle of the street, about 16 feet wide; but the proof also shows that while this space could be used by pedestrians in crossing the…
