In this slip-and-fall case, plaintiff Valencia Lewis appeals a judgment from the trial court granting summary judgment in favor of defendant Jazz Casino Company, L.L.C. ("Jazz Casino"). For the reasons that follow, we reverse and remand.
FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND
On April 26, 2016, Ms. Lewis filed suit against Jazz Casino, the owner and operator of Harrah's casino ("Harrah's") in New Orleans. In her petition, Ms. Lewis alleges that on August 1, 2015, she was walking through Harrah's when she slipped and fell on some food on the floor. The petition asserts…
