In this Louisiana diversity action, the plaintiff Delhomme Industries, Inc. (“Del-homme”), a Louisiana corporation, seeks to recover money damages for a defective aircraft purchased from the defendant-seller Houston Beechcraft, Inc. (“Houston”), a Texas corporation, and manufactured by the defendant Beech Aircraft Corporation (“Beech”), a Kansas corporation. In the first trial of this contract dispute, the district court applied principles of Louisiana law and, sitting without a jury, found in favor of Delhomme’s claims.
