TIREY, Justice.

Plaintiff, Kuykendall Investment Company, a partnership, grounded its cause of action on two promissory notes, negotiable on their face, executed by Thomas H. Bell to the Lubbock Machine & Supply Company, Inc., a corporation, which notes were' secured by chattel mortgages on personal property. Plaintiff sought judgment on the notes and for foreclosure of the mortgage lien. It alleged substantially that it was a purchaser for value before maturity, with recourse.
