KETHLEDGE, Circuit Judge.
Greene County, Tennessee Detectives John Huffine, Mike Fincher, and James Randolph arrested William and Linda Fowler for concealing a stolen lawn mower. After questioning the Fowlers, the detectives thought the evidence was insufficient for a conviction, so they released the Fowlers without filing charges. The Fowlers thereafter sued the detectives, primarily alleging that they lacked probable cause for the arrest.
