Plaintiff Mohammed M. Ahmed (“Ahmed” or “the Plaintiff’) brings this wage and hour action as a nationwide collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), 29 U.S.C. § 201, et seq., and as a putative class action under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23 (“Rule 23”) for violations of the New York Labor Law (“N.Y. Labor Law”). In addition, the Plaintiff asserts an individual claim under the FLSA and the N.Y. Labor Law alleging he was fired in retaliation for contesting the failure to provide overtime compensation.…
