Appellant was indicted under the provisions of section 331Í-1, Kentucky Statutes, charged with the'desertion and abandonment of his infant child nnder the age of sixteen years, leaving the same in destitute or indi*751gent circumstances and without making provision for its board, clothing and proper care.
