In classifying the rights of persons, next to the right to enjoy life and to have one’s body secure from injury, is the right of the personal liberty of individuals. 1 Blackstone’s Comm., star joages 128-133. “This personal liberty,” says Blackstone, “consists in the power of locomotion, of changing situations, or moving" one’s ’person to whatever place one’s own inclination may direct, without imprisonment or restraint, unless by due course of law.” I Blk.
