In this case the State of Tennessee filed suit against several tobacco product manufacturers seeking monetary, declaratory, injunctive, and other relief in connection with the marketing and sale of tobacco products in Tennessee. Upon approval by the trial court of a settlement between the State and the tobacco defendants, the State’s complaint was dismissed.
