Plaintiffs filed this suit on the 29th of January, 1886, against the defendants as directors of the Mechanics and Traders’ Bank of New Orleans, organized under the banking laws of this State, claiming that, on the 39th of March, 3879f, and before, they were de*24positors therein for large sums, for which they are indebted to them in solido.
