AMENDED MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

Section 1322(c)(1) of the Bankruptcy Code (Title 11, U.S.C.) states that Chapter 13 plans may provide for the cure of any default in a mortgage on the debtor’s principal residence until the point at which the “residence is sold at a foreclosure sale that is conducted in accordance with applicable nonbankruptcy law.” In Illinois, foreclosures of residential real estate are governed by the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law (the “IMFL”), 735 ILCS 5/15-1101 to -1706 (1994).
