MEMORANDUM OPINION
FLAUM, District Judge:
The instant complaint is before the court on plaintiff’s motion for a preliminary injunction and defendant’s motion to dismiss or, alternatively, for summary judgment. Fed.R.Civ.P. 12, 56 & 65. Plaintiff, a student at Thornwood High School, South Holland, Illinois brings this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for an injunction prohibiting defendant from interfering.with plaintiff’s participation in interscholastic athletics for the 1978-1979 school year. 1 Plaintiff alleges a violation of his due process and equal protection rights under the…
