The underlying action is one for damages allegedly due under the terms of a title insurance policy issued by the defendant-respondent, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, to plaintiff-appellant United Intercon Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the plaintiff-appellant U. I. P. Corporation. Lawyers Title is a Virginia corporation which has local officers in Wisconsin. U. I. P. is a New York corporation and United Intercon is a Delaware corporation.
