In this state-law personal injury action, we decide: (1) whether the district court clearly erred when it denied defendants’ motion for judgment as a matter of law as to plaintiffs claims for punitive damages; (2) whether the district court erred in not issuing findings of fact and conclusions of law regarding defendants’s motion for a directed verdict or remittitur as to the punitive damages award; (3) whether the jury could award punitive damages after finding that the plaintiff had been negligent to a significant degree; (4) whether legally insufficient evidence…
