HATHAWAY, Judge.

Appellants, defendants below, seek reversal of a judgment entered on a jury verdict of $17,000 in favor of the appellees, plaintiffs below.

The basis of appellees’ claim against appellants was a real estate commission allegedly earned by appellees in connection with the sale of appellants’ ranch property. Their complaint pleaded alternative theories ; express contract and quantum meruit.
