Appellants were convicted of two marijuana counts,1 stemming from the seizure of a shrimp boat, the SINCERE PROGRESS I, in the Gulf of Mexico, on the late evening and early morning of November 4-5, 1978. Following their convictions, appellants Ricardo, Torres, Garcia, and Rodriquez-Mari-no were sentenced to three and one-half (3V2) years imprisonment with a special parole term of five (5) years on each of Counts I and II, to run concurrently.
