The St. Joe and Mineral Farm Consolidated Mining Company, one of the defendants, was a corporation organized under the laws of Colorado for the principal object of acquiring, buying, leasing, purchasing and locating mines and mining property, and selling and operating them. Its business *341was managed by a board of five directors, and its capital stock was $2,000,000, divided into 2,000,000 shares. On September 17, 1891, the company had acquired some interest in what was known as the Mineral Farm mining property in Pitkin county, and had agreements to purchase all of the remaining interests…
