This is an action by a New York insurance company, Merchants Insurance Group (“plaintiff’ or “Merchants”), to obtain contribution and indemnity from defendants Mitsubishi Motor Credit Association and Mitsubishi Motor Credit of America, Inc. (collectively “defendants” or “MMCA”), California corporations.
