Plaintiffs-appellants Aubie and Gwilda Baltin (“the Baltins”) sought to vacate, modify, or correct an arbitration award by filing suit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Defendant-appellee Alaron Trading Corporation (“ATC”) moved to dismiss on the ground that the parties had agreed to appeal any arbitration decision to courts in Illinois.
