OPINION AND ORDER
EDELSTEIN, District Judge:
Defendants have moved pursuant to Rule 60(a) and 60(b)(1) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to vacate that portion of this court’s Opinion and Order dated June 17, 1986 (“June 17 Opinion”) relating to plaintiffs’ motion for class certification. Defendants assert that the decision relating to the class certification was rendered as a result of mistake and inadvertance, see Background section of Opinion.
