OPINION OF THE COURT
FISHER, Circuit Judge.
This is a breach of contract and bad faith action based on an insurance company’s behavior in failing to pay a claim for damaged mining equipment to a loss payee. After a trial on the issues, the jury found for the loss payee and awarded compensatory and punitive damages. The insurance company appeals, arguing that the verdict should be reversed because, among other things, the insurance policy had been canceled at the time of the loss.
