Bell, Justice.
1. The defendant was indicted for the alleged murder of his wife “by causing her to drink a liquid containing arsenic poison,” and on the trial was convicted of the offense charged. His motion for new trial, in which he contended that the verdict was contrary to the evidence and without evidence to support it, and that the judge erred in failing, without request, to give to the jury specified instructions, was overruled, and he excepted.
