KEARSE, Circuit Judge:

Defendant Witold Pluta appeals from a judgment entered in the United States District Court for the District of Vermont, convicting him, following a jury trial, on two counts of smuggling aliens into the United States, in violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A), and one count of conspiring to do so, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, and sentencing him principally to eight months’ imprisonment.
