The course of conduct of the notary who made presentment of the note in suit, and of the several banks through whose hands it passed in the collection process, conformed strictly, in so far as notice of dishonor was concerned, to the requirements of the law merchant formerly controlling, and to those of the negotiable instrument law now in force.
