Abstract
THE ROLE OF HASYIM ASY’ARI IN NU ORGANIZATION BETWEEN 1926 – 1947 By: Paulina Nola NIM: 021314006 The purpose of this research were to describe and analyse: 1) the biography of Hasyim Asy’ari; 2) the background and the emergence of NU; 3) the contribution of Hasyim Asy’ari in NU organization between 1926 – 1947. The method of this research were the history method, and the approach of this research were social and cultural approach. This thesis was written in analitical descriptive. The result of this research showed that Hasyim Asy’ari was a traditional Moslem figure who studied in the school of koranic studies in Surabaya, Semarang, Madura and Makkah, and also the founder of Tebuireng school of koranic studies. NU were established to defend ahlusunnah wal jamaahism, mazhab Maliki, Hambali, Syafi’I, Syafi’i, and the tarekat application. The contribution of Hasyim Asy’ari in NU organization between 1926-1947 was the effort to defend NU organization, such as : arranging the basic rules of the organization, that was Qanun al-asasi al-Nahdlatul Ulama as the basic ideology of NU, establishing educational institution during Japanes occupation and participating in preparing Indonesian independent physically and non physically. KATA PENGANTAR Puji dan syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas berkat dan rahmatnya yang telah memberikan anugrah dan kasihnya, sehingga penulis dapat menyelesaikan skripsi yang berjudul “PERANAN HASYIM ASY’ARI DALAM ORGANISASI NU TAHUN 1926 – 1947”. Skripsi ini disusun untuk memenuhi salah satu syarat tugas akhir untuk memperoleh gelar Sarjana Pendidikan Universitas Sanata Dharma. Selama menyelesaikan skripsi ini penulis telah banyak memperoleh bimbingan, dukungan, bantuan dan perhatian dari semua pihak.
