Abstract

In early Song Dynasty,because the political situation was unstable,imperial government urgently needed men who were steady and honest to be in power so as to maintain social order and monarchical power.It made the steady and honest atmosphere evolve that the emperor and the ministers rationally pondered themselves and function of central institutions.At that time Li Hang passed the imperial examination.He was very honest in performing his official duty,and respected the emperor.Therefore,he was a forerunner of steady and honest atmosphere.His political principle played an important role on the balance among the central government's various departments in the Song Dynasty.
