Yu Jing:An Outstanding Political Reformer in the Middle of the Northern Song Dynasty

Abstract

Yu Jing was one of the famous politcal reformers during the new administration of the Qingli period in the Northern Song Dynasty.On the survey of Yu Jings Anthology of Wuxi,his various memorials to the throne,and the related narratives in the book A Great Continuation of General Mirror for the Aid of Government,this paper elaborates on the content of his proposals concerning the reforms,the practice of them and their far reaching influence.On the evaluation of Yu Jing and the historical position of the new administration of the Qingli period,the paper has put forward a rather objective view.
